I think it must be a word that sounds like Crease, ruck, pleat - maybe Kriese or Kreese? That sounds like a dirk, knife. (I can't check dictionaries right now).

I think it will be Kreese which I hope is an alternative spelling of Kris/creese/kriss - a Sikh dagger
