Giselle Pericot would have been my choice.

Agree ^^

jth//Giselle Pericot would have been my choice.//

I feel sorry for that poor woman but I don't she will have much effect on this ol' world, but the Donald ? well, fasten your seatbelts !

Kevin Sinfield would get my vote.

I think the Time ed thought he needed to suck up to the incoming president and I dont blame him

Comey ( head of FBI) was fired after he answered the presidents question " are  you my man? " He talked about the murican constitution- wrong! - Comey learnt he had been fired when he ws downing a martini in a pub.

And Trump is now gonnna fire the one he aappointed seven years ago. Surely no 2 said " yes  Mr Trump I am your man"

OK then but not now

we had a time front cover contest of men who had been executed for treason - I thought it was one ( Laval - Pres 1836, shot 1945)

a lively ABer dug up ( pun intended) another one

under Trump anything is possible

Just an aside, Time person of the Year doesn't necessarily mean the best person of the year, repather than the one who's had the most notable year.

Hitler, Stalin and Putin have all been winners in the past.

....so has every US president since it started at least once.

"Time Person of the Year. Person of the Year (called Man of the Year or Woman of the Year until 1999) is an annual issue of the American news magazine and website Time featuring a person, group, idea, or object that "for better or for worse ... has done the most to influence the events of the year".

Given that it has been "won" by among others, Putin, Nixon, Cory Aquino, Ayatollah Khomeini, it is not necessarily the accolade you might want.

A convicted criminal and misogynist - not bad I suppose.

Perseverer, that was exact article I was going to quote.

Let the Trumpster think it's an amazing accolade. It might keep him quiet for a while.

It's said he would love a Nobel Peace Prize.

If he could force the Ukrainians to make an unequal peace with Russia would that be enough to win him the award?

TTT @ 22;19 - "So has every US president since it started."

Not according to the link you provided. Directly below the article's headline, and again further in the article, it states;

"Every president since Franklyn D Roosevelt - save Gerald Ford - has won title at least once, making it a right of passage."

Pictured sniffing his own farts too.

I don't know what their criteria are for deciding what person of the year are.

If it has nothing to do with morality, intelligence or good deeds I'd say absolutely a worthy winner. He probably pipped Putin at the post.

As expected bitternes and hate from the left.

Drill baby drill.

Congratulations Mr Trump, now save the West from the left wing wokefest.

yes

I agree, YMB, the world can't have too many convicted criminals, liars, cheats and blowhards running things.

Yes, a worthy winner, the political comeback of all comebacks!
