Which is the best way to write a book?.. Is it to think of a beginning, middle and end, and to basically know how your story is going to pan out, or is it to just start writing, and let it take you where it takes you??
Writing in a "creative" style, I would suggest, is a personal experience. Do it in whatever manner you want; there should be no rules as such. Try whichever way you want and see what happens. Some of the best books are the non-conforming ones...
if you are writing fiction, then you can try either approach, which ever is more confortable for you. The hard bits are plotting and pacing correctly, but that does come with practice. If you have a new idea, or a well-written slant on an old idea, you need to be really prsistant to get past the 'not what we are looking for' responses which all published authors can paper their houses with. Good luck!
With a word processor and lots of tea or coffee....if you need any advice the get Stephen King - On Writing....the best book I have read on the subject.
Writing is another way that one can express themselves...do what comes natural to you......find someone, something or somewhere that inspires you....and go from there............just write whatever pops into your head............and go from there............
i am giving it a try at the moment. Had a memory from childhood, wrote it down and have not stopped since. It is evolving as i write it, the story panning out almost by itself. This is all done sitting in comfy armchair with pen and A4 pad and the cat next to me purring away.
Good Luck to you.
