How do I connect my daughters wii onto the internet. I have foolowed the instructions as best I can. It found the wireless access point , did it's connection test which came back successful, but when I try to get onto the weather channel ( or any other channel) it comes up with error code 109139. It also tells me that the standby connection is turned off. So how do I turn it back on .Any 6 year olds able to help!

From the main menu click on the Wii button and then the Wrench button to enter the settings menu. Find Wii System Settings 2 and choose WiiConnect 24.
Turn that on and then it's up to you if you want to allow the console to connect when it's in standby mode, ie all the time or just when you switch it on. Slot brightness dictates how brighlyt you want the disc slot to glow when the Wii has downloaded an update if you have it set to permanent connection.
For the record I'm 28 :)

I'm not 100% sure but, I remember when we got our Wii in June 07 we could get on the internet no problem. But I remember that this facility disappeared, I think in July or August because you have to subscribe (no surprises there then) not sure how much it costs, we can now get the internet again without subscribing, but I think this is because we had the Wii chipped and the feature returned all of a sudden. Again, I'm not the most technical in our house, so this might be wrong, but this was the gist I was getting.
