What is Respect?
19 Answers
Respect is an element of character and has great importance in everyday life. There's self respect and respect for others, those differing in opinions. Sadly, many in society today are lacking respect.
I'm appalled and so disappointed by some of the things I've read on here tonight. Those whom I've looked up to have let me down. I still cannot believe ....

I was shocked too by last night - and I don't particularly shock easily. What happens today; Is all that abuse acceptable and will it just go back to 'normal' until the next time? What is scary is that people are capable of stooping so low. I am too disappointed by a few certain individuals who have always been a bit wayward, but held a certain level of respect as their posts where often very clever and they raised good points adding value to many threads, but I am afraid that I will no longer give any credit to these people and I hope this isn't going to set the future theme for AB as there does not appear to be any control. What also concerns me is that there is no age restrictions to being subjected to the vulgarity and malicious behaviour.
I know if I had come across this site for the first time last night that I wouldn't have bothered becoming a member. It is a shame that we run the risk of losing valuable new people because of the minority who are ruining it for everyone else. They need to grow up and take their disgusting behaviour elsewhere!
