Anagram Fun
8 Answers
Why is there always one clue in a quiz you can't solve? Would be grateful if anyone could help work out the answer by solving the following anagram which is the word in capitals letters. The rest of the sentence is a clue to the answer! He was extremely depressed and suicidal and thought in DESPERATION for a drastic way out of his problem. Many thanks!

I'd tried all the anagram solvers I could find and had come up with nothing! I hadn't noticed it being asked earlier - if only the site's search facility would work! I'll have a search back anyway - thanks!
Hi GillMack
I honestly can remember this having been asked before and I am pretty certain that the word rope was in the answer.
It was about a week ago. The search facility doesn't seem to throw it up unfortunately. If I didn't have to go out shortly I'd go and search back myself as it's now bugging me as well!!

Thanks yogasun, crofter and paddywak for all your help. When I said I had tried all the anagram solvers I could find and had come up with nothing, I should have said nothing relevant! I did use your recommended Universal Anagram Solver, crofter, but those answers didn't really help. I've also just had a search back, yogasun, but can't see any relevant questions and answers - the rope part is good, it's just the instead bit! However, I appreciate having an answer - which was more than I could find! Thanks again!
