Logically it should be cheesecake, unless I have something wrong, but I can't see the word play at all, so am wondering where I messed up :-)

As far as I see it - cheese is the standard for taking a photo - "say cheese" and when it is set it is a cake. Ergo cheesecake. DM

Yep Piggling, thats why I thought the answer was Cheesecake, am still amazed at the lack of any sophistication in the word play, if that is indeed the answer, and DaisyMaes explanation is right. Perhaps I should start doing the Times :-)

Actually Pigling its the Telegraph and in my experience there are precious few elegant clues these days and far too many puns and anagrams. I prefer the Toughie, mostly because it seems to be by a different compiler each day, so it is harder to get into the mindset. DM

DaisyMae - I have to agree with you, the standard of some of the clues over the last few months has been slipping quite badly. This isn't the first time, some of us have commented on the "quality".
