Really stuck this week - 11ac Smelly creatures in Scottish area going west (a???s - Scapa back?) 2d Where Russian workers gather in political alliance, not Conservative (ar??l) 3d Urge greens on child (it??) - must be 'itch' but where do 'greens' come in?
Thanks for answers.
Still can't understand word play -
11d, 'scot - a' back I see, but atocs? - what sort of smelly creature is an atoc?.
And 3d, the 'it' in itch - greens?
Explanation would be much appreciated.
Hi. I think the reference to greens come from the slang use of the word greens for sexual intercourse and the similar use of the word it. As in - did you get your greens today or did you get it today. All that according to my Chambers.
Elburrito -
Thanks for taking the trouble to post the explanation.
I checked and of course you are right.
I hate it when I can't pin down a reference like that.
Regards.
