Still Stuck

Can anyone help on the two questions which are from a Quiz and not a crossword so have no clues other than the answers are in some way related to gardens.
1)They did dig it.
2) They can be found in M&S and B.H.S. but not in B&Q.

Thank you Peapod, Tallulah and Gilly May. I am not sure about bloomers, as it is not something you would buy nowadays in M&S etc. but it is a good guess. What about StocksGillymay? Ladies slippers sounds good but I have never heard of them in a garden so it must be a nickname for a plant. For They did dig it ,on Google it may be a reference to the Mormon Book of Ether but so obscure that it would seem very unlikely to be that. Could it be mole hill?
