The latest update...

Hi everyone!
I've been asked for the latest news on my friend Anne's progress, so I'll take this opportunity to post yet another "non-Q" type thread & beg your indulgence for so doing.
She's finished her current course of chemo & will restart the hormone treatment soon. Her specialist called her in on Friday to give her the fantastic news that the lymph & breast tumours have shrunk by around 50% - enough for them to be able to consider surgery at last!
The lung & liver tumours haven't responded as well however, but even though they're out of surgical range, they're not currently dangerous.
She managed to bash her big toe & rip the nail off last week doh! It's been reattached (don't ask, I can't stand feet so that was just too much information!) & bandaged & won't stop her from enjoying the fact that she & her partner went off today to spend a week on a borrowed yacht in the south of France!
We're all confident that she's going to come through this eventually & she asked me once again to thank you all for your ongoing concern & thoughtfulness regarding her health.
Please accept my gratitude also - your messages have never failed to cheer her up, & that means a great deal to me - thank you, my friends.
Love, Anne & Lie-in King xx
