laser eye surgery?

is this for myopic eyesight only?
and how did they go about deciding on its sucess? surely tests would´ve possibly caused blindness, unless they used rats??
any takers?

I have astygmatism and I would gladly have laser eye surgery if (when) I could afford it rather than continue having to wonder about with the 'double glazing'. I'm pretty sure its been tried and tested over the years enough to ensure its success rate - keep researching.

I have astigmatism too, it's a really bitch isn't it :)
I suppose I'd have LIS too but like you said, it's expensive!

I tried 'Toric' contact lenses a couple of times, which was a laff - they're actually weighted at the bottom so if you lie down (side - on) they swing through 90 degrees and you go blurry again. The monthly disposable ones will actually last about 6 months if you look after them and tell Specsavers to stuff it if they try to sell you their cleaning fluid - ASDA do a perfectly good one for about 1/4 the price.

speaking to a good friend who works for a well known optitions he told me that laser eye sugery is'nt always a long term solution, a majority of people have to return to glasses 3-5 years down the line.

Why havent they started offering laser ear surgery for slightly deaf people yet?
