Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

This week's offering is "Five Dots" by Franc, which feels somewhat reminiscent of one or two of his previous puzzles.
More difficult than some of the recent offerings, but sound and unambiguous once the theme is established.

I have the author of the quotation and most of the grid filled - my problem is I can't figure out how to read the quotation??? I had assumed first letter of extra word in 1A followed by last letter, then 1st of 4A followed by last etc - but obviously not! Please help!

Finally my new year resolution failed i.e.started late on this one. Didn't take a long time, but gave a lot of enjoyment. I didn't notice any answers being given and thought (like others) that one unchecked letter could have been better clued, but the penny dropped. Oops - is that a giveaway? Anyone involved in the Setters' Dinner - with a year's clear record (or more)?
