Help needed...Pretty Please

I have a quiz to which all the answers are parishes in Somerset. I think I may have the answer, but cant see how the cryptic clue relates to the answer. The question is: Bullfinch (also known as) + atomic No. 47 (10)
I think the answer may well be Monksilver, I can see where the silver bit comes into it but am confuddled to what Bullfinch has to do with Monk?? So any help on this would be very much appreciated...Thanks

Thanx roslyn, I know that bit...but its the bullfinch thats puzzling me, I cant see how its related to Monk?

Have googled it and found that one definition of Monk is the eauropean bullfinch.

Thanks Chelle, I think thats where the link comes in...theres only 1 parish in Somerset that has silver in it and that is Monksilver, so thats how I came up with the answer. Thanx again to you both for your input....very much appreciated
