Hello everyone,
As soon as I saw that a qoutation had to hilighted, and that the real name of the author, plus the work it comes from also had to be similarly shaded, I just knew this EV was one for the Classicists! Populated the grid quickly, then spent a while staring at it, looking for inspiration. At that stage I was probably a hater of mankind, certainly one who distrusts everyone else!
Weather here is awful, just right for a Tempranillo!

Easy fill, not long to find the word that gives the game away (in second column) then straightforward - looks kinda pretty but, like others, that does not seem to be significant. Anyhow, wiled away another sleepless night in Bangkok ... (only came to this thread this morning for first time and, to be honest, you have stepped over the line with the hints, but who cares ?). Must be a Singha for me today ....
