I have two 7 letter answers left, Ingenue and Angelus.
The way that I have completed my grid, either answer will fit in either grid, if you see what I mean.
Has anyone else got this, or am I barking up several wrong trees ?

I have a 12 letter 'W' word at the in the top part of the grid and the 12 letter 'G' word at the bottom part of the left hand grid. The right hand grid I have the 13 letter 'H' word in the top and the 'Y' word at the bottom. Do I have this correct before I start trying to fit in the others?
Happy New Year BTW. :-))

The 7 letter "I" answer and the 7 letter "A" answer are interchangeable. I hope a downloaded entry is acceptable, as I've sent mine off today. I was wondering if Mohammad al Fayed was a solver or a setter. If so he would have enjoyed the 7 letter "F" solution. A family of rich Germans? I think I've heard that somewhere before.
if the two answers were interchangeable how could there be a solution turast? the clues are given in pairs, it would be logical to assign one of each pair to either grid. clearly 'ingenue' or 'angelus' would fit in either grid but the grid with 'amoret' already has the entry starting with 'a' so the other grid needs 'angelus' in order to have an 'a' entry. it gets a bit more complex with the interchangeability of 'xylene' 'nadene' 'wye' and 'pam' - happy new year.
