PICTURE QUALITY BUSH TV

I HAVE BOUGHT A 22" BUCH WIDESCREEN TV/dvd player/I-POD DOCK lcd HD READY TV. see this link to ARGOS.

and I cannot seem to get a wide screen picture without everything appearing sqUat and fat! If I go to other ratios, I dont get the full picture.
Is there a setting I am missing? its a 60cm screen with viewable area of 55cm.
The instructions are useless. I only have satellite aerial with no other connections. It works fine when I play a dvd.

Any help would be appreciated.

What is your source?

If it's a sky box (or any other satellite receiver) you'll need to set the output on the sky box (or other) to be in 16:9, otherwise the TV is only receiving a 4:3 input and nothing you can do on the TV will change that

lol .. yes, I expect a Sky box is being which is still set to 4x3 in the Picture settings?!

Thanks to both of you. It was the setting on the sky box and all is now working great.
