I know that it is not possible to take a cutting of any bush to grao another bush or a tree. What do you call plants that cannot be grown from a cutting?

What is the other professional verb for to grow in this sense?

Hmmm... after re-reading your actual question, plants that cannot be grown from cutting of donor plants are said to be able to reproduce only by sexual propagation... usually annuals that don't require a long growing season but can apply to other plants as well...

monocotyledons like grasses, orchids, lillies or any other 'non-stem forming' plants cannot be grown from a cutting, the way to grow more would be by 'dividing'. Other methods of propagation include seeding, layering, grafting and micro-propagation.
