I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .
If you are after an element of curl in your hair then eat more bread crusts.
Well the grandparents who raised me always said... " Eat up the crusts, they'll keep the curls in your hair" :-)
Lol..my Mum told me to eat my crusts but my hair is still dead straight apart from a flicky bit at the front .I put that down to having my hair put in rags as a child . Thanks Mum :)
Cheers Euphemia ..retracting bristles are not a problem .I'll have a look at the Sassoon .
Ron ...don't ever lose that sense of humour x
I have Babyliss Big Hair. Love it. You just blow dry your hair while pressing a button which lets you rotate the brush. Just like a stylist doing it for you. I did put this on answerbank when I first got it as to how amazing it is. Would not be without it now. Got mine on ebay - new - and less than any other outlet.
I always use a round bristle brush and hairdryer when I blow dry my hair . Do you think I just wash it and leave it ?
I want a styler to use on the odd day when I haven't washed it and also when I have washed it for extra volume after blowdrying.
Thank you grasscarp ..this is the sort of thing I mean .Sounds exactly like the thing I want .I'll have a browse round for one .
The Nicky Clarke which I've just ditched was very similar .
Thanks shaney...I am pleased that you are able to appreciate my format for postings into AB. It is always my wish to be helpful if possible but, as you well know, I often cause a distraction from the question which has been posed. Anyway, the following is of no help to me (I still have enough wavy hair to cover my balding head) although it could be of interest to you.:-
Grasscarp - would the Babyliss one be ok for long hair or would it get tangled? I have a Braun cordless Smoothstyler (with steam) which has now been discontinued (wonder why - think it must be 'elf and safety!) I'm so cross as mine is now on the way out and there is nothing cordless with steam on the market.
Thanks for your answer greeneyed monster .I did peruse them all very carefully on Amazon and thought that perhaps the Babyliss brush would be too big on my shortish hair ..so...I ended up with ...guess what ..haha .. another Nicky Clarke (a newer model ) which I'm very pleased with .
morning all. Its a beautiful day here after a foggy night. I love to hear the foghorns blow.
Has anyone got a link to our last home please as it seems to have vanished?
