St. Guthlac's Ladies' Guild 'Coast to Coast' Quiz

Our new quiz is now available to for to buy at £1.00 per sheet. This latest quiz is entitled 'Coast to Coast'.

The first prize on offer is £25.00 with two smaller consolation prizes to be drawn at random from all entries submitted, whether all-correct or not.

Forty clues, some cryptic, will hopefully guide you to the names of coastal locations around Great Britain.

The closing date is Saturday, 21st July, 2012.

I am now no longer dealing with the postal applications because I have three volunteers from Ladies' Guild to help me. I am just compiling the quizzes now, doing the printing, selling & donating the prizes.

If you will please identify yourself, or just give me your postcode & initials, I will contact the two ladies who are dealing with postal applications & ask them to check if yours has been received & posted.

sandy16, I have just spoken to Kay. She tells me that a number of quizzes were posted on Saturday, including yours, so you should receive it shortly.

If SpottyDog will identify himself/herself, I will also check with Kay.

May I just say that Kay & her friend are still learning this job and are doing their best. They live some distance from a PO so can't get there every day to mail the quizzes. I, on the other hand, have a PO opposite my house so it was alot easier for me when I was doing the mailing. I had to give this part of the job up due to health reasons but I was delighted when three volunteers came forward to help.

Thanks to them & thanks to you two for supporting us. I hope that you'll enjoy the quiz when it arrives.

Thought I would introduce myself-DSJ1 aka Glenys.
I am one of the 3 new volunteers who are helping DSJ aka Jill. I am being tutored by DSJ in the mysteries of this site, she is doing a splendid job but it does take time to learn.
Thanks to all the people who have and are still supporting our quiz, we really do appreciate you. The money that is raised from the sales of the quizzes helps maintain our small but beautifully formed Church hall. This space is used by loads of local groups and we have really made a difference with upgrading the toilets, the kitchen area, the flooring and heating. Kiddies parties are now a much more comfy experience.
Hope this helps to explain the hic-cups being experienced. Also a public thanks to DSJ and her husband who have done a fantastic job on our behalf for several years.

Hello - do you have a clue as to which Welsh Wizard you mean for Question 25? I have investigated Lloyd George, Ryan Giggs, Merlin and Byron Jones who have all been named The Welsh Wizard and none of their childhood homes have 9 letters in!!
