4 Answers
The latest St. Guthlac's Ladies' Guild 'Coast to Coast' quiz closed on 21st July and the Reverend David McCormack drew a winner from the all-correct entries submitted on the following day. Mrs. C. Hopkin of Matlock, Derbyshire was the £25.00 winner. Two further draws were made from all other entries, whether all-correct or not, and consolation prizes go to Ronnie Hill of Douglas, Isle of Man, and Christine Anderson of Peterborough. Prizes will be posted out shortly.
A magnificant total of £1,000.00 was raised and we thank everyone who supported us. This sum is earmarked for the upkeep and maintenance of the Green School in Market Deeping, a useful meeting place for the people of the village.
Answer sheets will be posted to all those who enclosed stamped addressed envelopes with their entry.
The new quiz, entitled 'Great British Cities', is now available for you to buy at £1.00 per sheet. It is advertised elsewhere on this website.
Again, thank you all.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Thanks for the reply but the rising cost of sending for postal quizzes and then returning them [£1.50 or £2.00 if wanting marked entry] means the cost of postage is substantially more than the cost of the quiz. I tend to enter quizzes which can email out/download quizzes and then allow me to pay on return or require me to pay up-front using PayPal or "Just Giving" website etc.. Often the cost of these quizzes is more than 50p or £1 [to cover costs] but at least that way all the monies go to the charity and it can also on occasions be gift aided.- I know there is a small charge for using Just Giving or Paypal.
Thanks for taking the time to respond to my enquiry and I hope the quiz helps you achieve your target. Good luck

Thanks for your comments, Fibonacci. I've compiled these quizzes for the past 10 years in the most uncomplicated way that I can. I'm an elderly lady who is totally unable to understand or learn more than the basics on her computer!
There are never any overheads with my quizzes. My husband & I donate the paper & computer ink for the quizzes & separate answer sheets and I donate the prizes. All the monies raised goes to St. Guthlac's Ladies Guild where it is earmarked for the upkeep and maintenance of the Green School (the former Victorian C of E School building) in Market Deeping which is used by various groups in the village for different activities.
This time we sold 995 copies of the 'Coast to Coast' quiz and received a donation of £5.00 which made the total up to £1,000.00.
