The Club is now Open

Welcome again to all our members old and older.
It is not quite so cold this week, but I am sure we will still all feel the benefit.
Hopefully our staff will not desert us as they did last week with excuses about 'half-term' and 'circumstances beyond my control'...you know who you are and we know what you were up to...lady butcher indeed.....I have it on good authority that that shop was open for business all last weekend and the butcher lady was serving her customers tripe as usual...

Tonight's raffle prizes so far are:

Two porky pies
Small pack of green face powder (covers blushes)
and two used bus tickets to Scarborough (it's so bracing)

I am not sure a llama would get along with my little Pasquale, (my handbag mexican mini donkey if you recall) the horse and he are great buddies.
I think for the future, I will get the shoes superglued on. He almost had my buggy over.
I remember Pasquale, such a cutie ................ and so small
You know what? Giving this a lot of thought here. I may get rid of the horse and buggy, and get a pogo stick.
The only drawback is that Pasquale gets dreadful motion sickness.
Maybe some of those accupressure bands, for all his ankles?
We grow the mini carrots for him, all year round you know. Keep the greenhouse heated especially.
Pressure bands might work Anna
Will check Boots for small sized ones. Failing that, I could tie a few knots to make them smaller?
Mmmmm , that wont work will it? There will be to many pressure bumps.
Back to the drawing board.

I will bid you a fond adieu for this evening, and work on the plans.
Night Anna, safe journey home. I may have to pack up the llama and wend my way homewards myself, best beloved is due home from work soon
Get rid of the horse and buggy? That would be very sad for them. Horses keep being given cough mixture and buggies are so often splatted with insect repellant. Do think again.
I can't manage a broom though Daisy, and I haven't a head for heights.
How about a frog? Small jumps, no great height and he might be a prince.
mmhmmm Frogs eh? Possible though I found my prince at the end of a phone line........................it was his voice Daisy, his voice!
nungate, is that New York speak for vice?
Nope! He has a nice speaking voice. I worked as a telephonist and when I got that particular job I was told by my predecessor to listen out for the guy with the nice voice (he worked in a different part of the company) and when you recognise a regular voice and you're not busy and the line he wants is also busy you get to chatting and so on. Turned out he lived in the same general area as I did and he would wave to me in the mornings as I waited for the bus!(such a gentleman!) until one monring I missed the bus and he stopped and gave me a lift, next morning I deliberately missed the bus, and he offered to give me a lift every morning after that. We were friends for about 10 years before I decided to let him catch me, it'll be our silver wedding in April - BTW I didn't tell him I'd missed the bus on purpose the second morning until after we were married!
What a lovely story! So you don't need a frog?
Not tonight Daisy. He's just arrived back from work now so I think I'll have to think about signing off for the night, not that I have to make him any supper or so forth he's happy enough sorting himself out. Though he will be making hot chocolate later! Does it every night it's our chat time - honestly this man is too good to be true - I don't know what I've done to deserve him but somewhere sometime I must have done something right, just don't tell him I've said anything ............
Enjoy!
Thanks I will.
Goodnight all. Take care.
Well everyone, an interesting night and thankfully no harm occurred re the fire. Will wish all a very good night and a safe travel home, until we meet again.♥
