probably Sobers
I thought it was Beefy - but can't quickly find a reliable source to back me up.

I'll be back ...
Ganguly?
W G Grace ???
Definitely Botham - only other player to do it was Carl Hooper (WI) but Beefy was first ..
Ganguly I think was 10,000 runs 100 wickets and 100 catches. Not sure on catches for W G Grace though
this is in chronological order, and Sobers is the first one you come to

http://stats.espncric...t/records/287359.html
GS Sobers (WI) playing dates 1954-1974
93 tests 8032 runs, 235 wickets, 109 catches

IT Botham (Eng) playing dates 1977-1992
102 tests 5200 runs, 383 wickets, 120 catches
Sorry chaps - you're right - I made the mistake of believing another secondary site instead of looking at the proper records

< naughty step again >
you need to do some more work in the nets, dave
Haven't got all the kit any more jno - though I suppose I could borrow bobjugs' box - he won't be using it for a while ;)
I should think he's wearing it day and night at the moment...
