MM Links Results April 2012 Week 1
9 Answers
A Happy Easter to all our players.
Here we are at the start of a new month with 'Regal Roslyn' at the helm once again.
Despite it being Easter, and most of her introduction being on that theme, her chosen links were totally unrelated to Easter.
I can now reveal that you were seeking to match the following pairings:
EASTER ISLAND
SUNDAY BEST
CHOCOLATE CAKE
NEST EGG
Incidentally Ont-Ice, it is the pairing that counts, not the order so either way round counts the same.
Details follow below:

This month, BigMac may be trying the same strategy.
As first player, he snapped up both SUNDAY BEST and CHOCOLATE CAKE for 4 points. Tearinghair and Lysander were within 2 minutes to claim a bonus on 'Sunday Best' (2 points to each).
Over 20 minutes later, and at an appropriate time of year, Slaney discovered 'EASTER ISLAND', which along with 'Sunday Best', earned her 3 points.
The last link had to wait until nearly 3pm when Mrs Ont-Ice from across 'the pond' suggested NEST EGG along with 'Sunday Best' for 3 points also.
With three double-hitters: Who will be the hotshot?
I have decided that for finding that elusive pairing, I am going to declare:
**** THE HOTSHOT ****
**** THIS WEEK IS ****
**** MRS ONT-ICE ****
Since it is Easter, I am feeling in a generous mood and have decided to hand out a one-off consolation point for a near-miss.
Brenden can therefore have a point for 'Chocolate Gateau' - after all, 'gateau' is French for 'cake' and for all I know, she was unknowingly influenced by a long-lost French ancestor.
In summary, this week's points were:
4 BigMac
3 Ont-ice (Mrs)
3 slaney
2 lysander
2 tearinghair
1 boxtops
1 Brenden
1 Christiana
1 Elspeth
1 Handbaglady
1 Manxiemo
1 twix123
1 x-ray
Next weekend, Same time, Same place,
so until then
Happy Linking
