Yesterday, Prudie and I were talking about the station staircase scene in 'The Untouchables'
It's a scene that has stayed in my mind's eye since I watched the film. Mainly because I loved Kevin Costner in that role.
Which film scenes have stayed with you and why?

when Russell Crowe says " stay with me " to his Roman Legions in Gladiator, it's spine chilling, the music kicks in and they all charge forward towards the barbarians, i could watch that scene over and over.
there are loads of others, like Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson in Brief Encounter, when he gets a piece of dirt out of her eye, it's the start of a lovely but doomed romance.
You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me?

I don't like it but it's memorable.

And the space ship docking in 2001 to the Blue Danbue.
The station staircase scene in 'The Untouchables' because of the incredibly stupid woman with the pram and her ugly child.
when et phoned home (where did he get the code )
'Get away from her you bitch' in Aliens.

The bit at the end of the usual suspects when the police officer looks at his notice board.

'Now I'm the monster' from dead mans shoes.

Which film was that dialogue in jno? I recognise it but...................?
Hi Tilly. There are several I'd list from Gladiator and many other films besides. Not very high-brow but some I watch over and over are - when the wheels touch down safely and Danny Boy bursts into full flow at the end of Memphis Belle and (don't diss) the Man in the Iron Mask, the Leo de Caprio version, when they all charge round the corner and D'Artagnan's 2IC says 'magnificent valour'. Love it.

Oh yes, and when ET came alive again and everyone in the cinema cheered and/or cried.
Love that Man in the Iron Mast for the same bit Prudie :c)
The end in Zulu where they sing Men of Harlech.Michael Caine says ..barstewards .. and then the Zulus salute them .
Thelma and Louise driving over the cliff .
"Did he fire six, or was it only five........ Do you fell lucky, well do you punk?"

Dirty Harry.
Billy Elliot, last scene when he leaps across the stage as an adult ballet dancer.

Hi Prudie, nice to speak to you again. I haven't seen Memphis Belle. Must look out for it.
When Humphrey Bogart has seen his love Ingrid Bergman finally leave Casablanca, he says to Claude Rains, Louie i think this is the start of a beautiful friendship, they walk off into the fog. One of my all time favourite films.
The end of The Sting, where all the bodies get up, it's the only time I can recall a whole cinema cheering!
Blind man (Gene Hackman) meets the monster (Peter Boyle) in the cabin in the forest from Young Frankenstein.
The kid crying over his dying dad in the film 'Champ'

Kid crying out the words
"Come back Shane" from er ...Shane

Why? ...dunno.....no excuse me whilst I have a little cry.
The lovely Al Pacino dancing the tango in Scent of a Woman....wow :)
Blues Brothers:

the car chase throught the shopping centre

every other car chase

the troops storming the building

there's too many in that film to pick just one!
