My 12 yr old son is on 8 day school water activity trip to France. Group leader is updating us every eve with an email - most amusing.
Tonights email included the following:
An un-named year 7 pupil decided that a squawking seagull sounded different to the ones in England and asked if it was due to the French accent.
Another un-named pupil hopped onto the french coach instead of the British and blamed it on " sudden colour-blindness"
Nearly all pupils have had a shower - the last one has just been told off for standing outside in a thunderstorm and his excuse was " well you told us to have a shower"
Hello annie my lovely - yes I spoke to the school and he has gone. They seem to be having a great time( well I hope so!!) Will deal with other issues wen he gets back.
All birds develop 'accents' northern songbirds sing differently to southern ones city birds sing louder. and there are definite differences when migrant populations join resident birds
