I am getting on quite well with a local quiz, but hve recently met a 'brick wall', so would love some help from AB'ers.

1. Find the word or phrase: A remarkable person or thing. The answer is hyphenated and I have so far the following: ??b??-?a??l?? Please help.

2. Cryptic rivers, lakes and reservoirs in UK: (number of letters not given)
a) Yes pick this for a Scottish favourite.
b) Blows at a great speed in the Cotswolds
c) The weather was just too much for this northern reservoir
d) Shortly Harry could go nuts over these two Scottish rivers - one will do
e) Switch their bible and wou'll find it empties into the Irish Sea.

2e could be Ribble. There's an anagram of bible in there but I don't see where the R comes from.
2b could be Windrush (name of a river in the Cotswolds)
