Random Nose Question
6 Answers
Not worrying, just more annoying. I've been waking up in the morning for the last few weeks with just one nostril blocked, only ever one. It starts to clear pretty quickly once I get up.
I have been taking antihistamines anyway to try and stop my eyes getting swollen and puffy overnight but they haven't made any difference to the blocked nose thing.
Could this be sinus related? I have some sinus related problems on and one, nothing major though, more sinus pain in my forehead and down over my nose. Not sure if the cheek swelling I've had a few times and the puffy eyes could be connected or more related to the potential Sjogrens the eye hospital are thinking I may well have (dry eyes, episcleritis, dry mouth etc...).
I asked about sinus stuff at a pharmacy a while back but was told they couldn't sell me anything they had for it due to being on methotrexate (and that I shouldn't be using the Otravine, Sinutab and such I had been, as well as my flixonse spray for allergic rhinitis they said is connected to the Menieres) and to speak to my GP who said to just try paracetamol.
I hate the thought but could a gentle sinus wash help? I've come out in a cold so will wait until that has cleared and if the blocked nose thing continues I will try that. I thought initially it could be a cold coming on but it's been going on for weeks unless it has just been a slow burning thing.

It doesn't really bother me as it clears quickly though figured I'd see if it's something I should mention at hospital appointments in case it's a clue to whether things could be sinus related etc... with all the medical stuff going on and appointments coming up.
I shall continue not worrying :)

Thanks NoMercy :) Ooh clicky jaw doesn't sound nice :(
The dry mouth is horrible. It doesn't wake me up - the cat tends to. I originally thought she was being attention seeking after her sister died earlier in the year but I think I might be talking in my sleep - I've had much more vivid dreams most of the time I'm asleep since going on pregabalin and they are very realisitc and detailed (even being at work doing actual work in detail...argh haha!) so I think I'm talking she she thinks I'm awake, bless her.
Gives me a change to get up and get a nice long drink though.
