Terminator. "In a peak" is "in a tor" and '"period first" means you have to put "term" in front of that phrase, giving 'terminator'.
(I didn't bother doing a Google search, but I assume it is modern jargon in some way for a "satellite line")

I did eventually get it the same way. My dictionary has terminator as a dividing line between dark and light on a planetary body - hence the 'satellite line'!!
