I answered because I have bought the quiz and know that the setter requested no asking. As Mamya pointed out he directed people to a site where they could find all the answers.

So whats your excuse.

Once more this changes from a debate about quiz etiquette into personal remarks.

My only quibble with the whole thing is the original point, why enter a competition if you don't want to abide by the rules.

Mamyalynne - you are correct. I am just as perplexed as to why the AnswerBank quiz etiquette is not adhered to. On this site we do as we are told as per rules. End of.

I cannot see where you said that. And the setter has made reference where CLUES may be obtained.

I do find it disappointing that quizzers don't respect the setters rules, this setter as stated above even links to a specific list to consult - shame but is ever thus.

On the front page of the quiz I have put the request.

"Please do not ask for answers or clues on internet forums, but you can still ask for help from family and friends offline. Over a third of the last quiz had been posted before the curfew date so this time we politely request you do not ask anything as it is spoiling the quiz for many people. "

This quiz includes a link to the beermad website where all the answers can be found. All you need to do is match the clues to the breweries listed.

It is hard enough trying to right a quiz that cannot be solved by five minutes googling, if the answers are going to be given away I wonder if their is any point putting the effort in any more

Fully agree Pedro and all who support. Surely the buzz of doing a quiz is being able to say that it has been all your own work in finding the answers. I have on occasions asked the odd question but hopefully not on the quizzes where the setter has specifically asked for no online help to be sought and I may have innocently answered the odd question where I did not realize such a request had been made. I can also say that on many occasions I have returned quiz sheets with blank spaces. Keep up the good work Pedro.
