I've lived on ham sandwiches, not good I know. Today on the way back from the hospital I called in to a cafe cum restaurant and instead of just having a cup of tea I ordered a meal. I told the waitress I was a bad eater and could she make it a small meal. I'll give you a children's portion she said. Two mouth full and I couldn't eat any more. The waitress covered my meal in tin foil, put it in a pizza box and told me to bring the plate back next time. I have just reheated my leftovers and eaten it all. What a star, along with the return of the plate will be a nice box of chocs. Why can't everyone be as nice as this girl.
How nice...I lived on blueberry muffins for 18 months when dad was in hossie...no real food available at the cancer unit. Only sweets papers etc....it's important that you take care of yourself at this time jeza....xxx
That was a lovely gesture, it's good to know there is thoughtfulness and common sense around. When we were visiting our brother in hospital I found it hard to unwind and eat...I think I ended up living on small sized ready meals which I thought were better than no meal at all.
I agree with neti, take care of yourself.
