Mm Links Results November 2013 Week 5

'Princess Di' (aka grannydi) brought the month to a close with a (literally) seasonal challenge.

A big thank-you to GrannyDi for setting the November links. A fair mixture of difficulties but players were all up to the task.


I thought this was going to be mediocre as far as points were concerned but in fact it turned out to the highest scoring game for the whole of November.

The links chosen in advance by Princess Di were:

SPRING FLOWER(S)
SUMMER HOLIDAY
AUTUMN LEAVES
WINTER SPORT(S)

One player found three of those and three-quarters of players added to their scores

Owlladdy set the ball rolling with AUTUMN LEAVES with lots of others picking up on the 'autumn debris'. BigMac, roslyn251254, evsajo, Strix & beejay1124 were all in time for the bonus

Aquagility then claimed both SPRING FLOWERS and SUMMER HOLIDAY for 4 points
Rockfordill was in time for a bonus on the former while beejay1124 was in time or the latter.

The final link survived undiscovered for nearly an hour and a half. It was Kettledrum who eventually favoured the WINTER SPORTS.

There were 7 double-hitters, but as I said above, we had a TRIPLE-HITTER late on Saturday night.

Many thanks Gen2 for posting this weekend - I had computer problems and didn't want to risk a no show, so took the laptop to the computer doctor - now all seems well.
