Blackjack: Query On Basic Strategy With Reference To Player's 10, 10 Hand Against Dealer's 6. According To Basic Strategy And General Casino Rules, The Player Should Stand On 10 10. This Is A 90% Win Probability.
The 10, 10 hand has about a 90% chance of winning against the dealer. Now if we split the 10's we will have 2 hands with at least a 10 card. Each hand has about 70% chance of winning. Although each hand has a lower percentage probability of winning, the virtue of doubling down means twice as much money is staked which enhances the profitability. If this is correct then why do the basic strategy tables not advise to split 10's against 6?
