Why is it that every time I buy something on the net, no matter how small or trivial, they ask for feedback? Bought a box of staples for the office and now they want feedback. What can you say about a box of staples that cost £2.20?
Don't give feedback in a shop so why on the net? Just ignore me, I'm really grumpy today but good to get it off my chest.

They want feedback on the service so it doesn't matter if it's a £2 box of staples or £1000 bottle of champagne.

How quickly the item was posted, how well it was packaged and communication from the seller to let you know of any delay or when the item was dispatched

In a shop you do give feedback, you smile at the cashier or tell them to stop being so rude (for example). It's just that they can't measure your happiness online quite so well.

Say something like, you were generally happy, but the 38th staple didn't seem very sharp, because it made an untidy hole in the paper.

I just ignore most of the cheaper item's feedback but larger items I always give a review especially for good customer service.

I get fed up with the constant how did we do invitations. Even DVLC do it when you buy tax disc on line!
Talking of staples, my 4 year grandson wanted to play stapling a piece of paper and foolishly I let him. He managed to scratch his thumb and crying he said, "You didnt tell me to be careful"

You do get asked to give feedback in some shows - the receipts ask you to go on line and enter a draw by telling them about your experience in that shop today. Customer service is everything these days, they need to know if people aren't happy.

I recently ordered a pack of sharpening stones for my FIL's chain saw.

Now I'm being asked to review my purchase...

Tempted to write something along the lines of "my chainsaw is now fantastically sharp, made dismembering my family to bury them in the garden so much quicker", but I'm afraid the humour police may pounce.

It always amuses me when I pop into Tesco Express for a newspaper (20p) which I buy via the self-service till and I get a receipt saying "How did we do ?"

Reminds me of Janet S-P's rant on today's Loose Women. She had informed local council of various pot-holes via their pot-hole hotline. After may months of no action, she was sent an email asking for feedback! You can imagine her response.
