Good evening all, and welcome to Nungate Towers, so come on down and let our revels begin.............I sure could use the company!!
Tonight's Tailcock is the "Nungate Abandoned" a somewhat solitary yet interesting brew, on account that everyone has gone off and left me here all alone,......all on me tod.......just me and five moggies, who, however sweet they are, they are not scintillating conversationalists!
Igor is by the door waiting to collect all coats, cloaks, and broomsticks ready for concealment in various crooks and nannies around the Towers,
members please note all outer garments are left at their owners risk [i Our Hot plate special for tonight is a delicious cottage pie (we had some derelict cottages on the estate and I do hate to see waste ........) horses doovers, canopies and our world famous (at least in the AB World) volly vonts, and on our pudding trolley we have a selection of ice creams, and of course every possible (within reason) topping, and a choice of ice cream sauces, and whipped cream! Time to make your own sundaes!!
In the Great Hall gallery, the Minstrels are busy setting up and getting ready to give us their now legendary (in their minds at least) selection of madrigals, toccatas and as a special treat they will throw in a cantata or two
[i] stifles a yawn ] meanwhile down in the ballroom, for those members wishing a bit of a dance we have engaged the services of our favourite local band The Tone Deafs
Members will please note that the bungee will be reinstated at the beginning of next month, the same goes for the hot tub, which is currently enjoying a brief sojourn with the indoor pool down in the dungeons, mini bar has been keeping them company (and has also been refilled)
The snug has a nice cosy fire, and nice comfy sofas just ready for members in search of a quiet evening. Anyone one wishing to visit the conservatory is reminded not to feed the Triffid, it's not due another feed until Easter....
Would members please remember to collect their tickets for the rofl from Belle in the vestibule, and if you wish to stay over please let her know so that the guests suites can be prepared.
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

Spent the time catching up on some tv programmes I'd Sky+ed during the week, so they are now deleted, and room for more. HAd one sided chats with the cats on and off, Teddy is probably the quietest with Henry being the most vocal. It will make up for tomorrow as we're off to the Crafting and Stitching show at the S.E.C.C. in Glasgow tomorrow which should be good - stock up on even more stitching supplies! Like that's really necessary! We should be home hopefully around lunch time, there's a system I work too. I only take cash, cards left with best beloved and a quickl scout round the show upon arrival, see whats there make a few mental notes then return to the stalls that have piqued my interest maybe make a purchase or four, and when cash gone, I'm gone!

GD's Christmas present this year was a record player. They are back in vogue. She had already bought some LPs without having a player. Definitely a retro girl. Loves 40s, and 50s music and clothes. At 5'8", size 8 and a dancer's posture she can carry off most odd looks. Big favourite at the moment is lace and just a touch of leather. My own Second Hand Rose.
Obviously a girl who is comfortable doing her own thing and not following the crowd. I like the sound of her. Must admit, Queenie is a bit of an "individual" too, never wanted to copy her friends, or do the same sorts of things always says "I'm not a sheep Mum, I don't follow" she marches to her own drum. I like that trait a lot in her, seems your GD is the same
