Mm And Km Links April 2014 Week [3]
7 Answers
Week 3 already and Easter Weekend too.
Maybe some of you are going away this weekend - down to England or even further, perhaps across to France? But that is not an excuse for not playing one or both of our Links Games. The Internet now reaches to most parts of the world so wherever you happen to be, don't forget to participate.
First to kick off will be the KM Game supervised from Australia by Seekeerz.
As ever, the words in that one come from The Daily Telegraph GK Crosswords and you have to guess what they are going to be paired with in Monday's 'Herculis' crossword. Equal chance of points all weekend. Game closes midnight Sunday. Results posted by seekeerz early Monday morning.
A little later you can try the MM Challenge set by one of our own players. This month, you are being teased by 'Lady Jill' (aka tearinghair). She will post her introduction in Q&P at 8:45 tomorrow. At 9:00 exactly (or thereabouts) she will post the challenge itself.
In that version of the game, early play will increase your chance of collecting bonus points. That game closes at 7pm on Sunday when I will post the results.
We have now had two weeks of fairly low scores so something drastic has to happen to get us out of the doldrums and I sure could do with that. My week so far has been glum with my car failing its MOT and my camera giving me error messages Between them this could cost me close to £1000! All you have to do is guess the links correctly to cheer me up. How you do it is up to you: Tarot cards, crystal balls, lucky charms or just gut-feeling - it matters not.
You may use the rest of this thread (affectionately known as 'The Shrubbery') for socialising.
Be sure to log in for both games tomorrow.
Until then,
Happy Linking,
gen2

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I meant to check earlier: if you read this before the launch on Saturday, gen2 or Strix, could you let me know at what time my posts appeared last week? I have a feeling that my computer clock may be 1 minute slow. I don't want to throw everything into disarray by posting an extra message in the Saturday thread, so if I don't hear from you I'll go by my clock even if this means it shows 8.46 and 9.01. Not important, but I'd like to get it right.
Tearinghair (Lady J), although it doesn't affect me, as I get up too late to qualify for any bonuses, the following Atomic Clock shows UK time (even though it claims to be Central European Time) which will enable you to check your computer clock:

Tearringhair: Elliemay has given you the answer. If you are still worried about the timings, just watch what time the (less important) preamble is clocked at in relation to when you pressed 'submit'. Adjust your 9:00 post as required.
Strix: It was the SX30 bridge camera that was playing up - only managed two shots with it yesterday. Better today - I took over 100 images at the local 'Links Market'.
