Armed Forces Day.
Having just watched ITV News I wondered if anyone else was saddened that two politicians and would be heads of state sought to use the ceremony at Stirling itself to take cheap-shots at the Prime Minister. The result of Miliband and Salmonds' pedagoguery was to entirely displace from the bulletin any reference to what today's ceremonies all over the UK were all about.
There clearly are so many days when politicians are free to demonstrate what self-serving hypocritical *** they mostly are. I'm disappointed that two of them thought so differently about what Armed Forces Day is all about that for them it was just another day in the office.
Even in the trenches the Brits and the Gerries forgot their differences for a day and played football on Christmas day.
For some of our politicians every day is the same when it comes to plying their nauseating trade, even if it leads our news broadcasters to sweeping the people whose bravery and sacrifice is commemorated and respected on Armed Forces Day off the story boards of our news bulletins.
Couldn't they at least have waited till tomorrow?

to hijack such a day for their own political ends is disgraceful, but not really unexpected given the calibre of our politicians.

Haven't a clue what you are on about because you haven't supplied a link.
I have tried Googling and can find no reference to Miliband and Salmond attacking Cameron. Miliband did a blog saying returning soldiers should be treated with respect. Is that what you think is an attack?

No mention of any politicking by Miliband or Salmond. Beginning to think the OP is bollix.

I saw what I saw and I'm not lying. If you want to see part of what I based my comments on go to the ITV News web site go to topics and click on 'Geremy Hunt (not PM and not at Stirling btw) slams EU for cowardice'.
You can see Miliband with Stirling castle in the back-ground having a go at Cameron. The interview in which Salmond, also at the castle, also attacking Cameron has been edited out or may be one of the other reports.
