Hi can anyone help me with these they all have one word in common, the number at the end is the amount of letters in the answer -
Example - door, watch,press 4
So the answer is stop for doorstop,stop watch and stop press

1. Shield, age,marker 5
2. Country,less,ship. 6
3. Watch,less,manger 5
4. Active,type,flash. 5
5. Board,line,ball. 5
6. Tail,eye,Croft. 4

Hi I think so, but the answer can be before the clue it does not have to be after it.
Can't say I have heard of cockpit?
