I know there are a high percentage of black players in soccer, but why are the latest Google Women's World Cup logo images all black players?

Do you know, I hadn't noticed that till you just mentioned it.

I see it purely as part of the artistic design and colour palette and I've looked at it numerous times today.
It is simply a design based on silhouettes.Very much doubt the ball will be as depicted in the graphic either.

I'm clearly not doing something right.
they aren't portraits, they're silhouettes, which are traditionally done in black.

Here's one of the well-known black author Jane Austen

How so Talbot?
Precisely Jno.
Can you imagine the fuss if all the players had been white?

Sorry I'm just saving AOG the bother ... :-)
Because I have googled and googled but can not find all these black players AOG is talking about.
Ah, I think the OP is poorly worded.

Google Search Women's World Cup Images. (did that not many black women)
Understood, I think they are called 'Google Doodles' and as stated are graphic art, nothing more or less.

Seems an odd OP really.

Silhouettes are all black including their clothing, these are not silhouettes.
I am surprised you never complained about white silhouettes being under represented here...

They are not silhouette portraits they are silhouette cartoon graphics. And yes, as with the iTunes images, the graphics can have clothes or accessories. The reason silhouettes are good for a world brand like the world cup is precisely because they are NOT ethnically specific. Instead of black, white, brown, yellow characters, just one is needed to represent the diverse range of peoples on this planet.

And in reality....

How many black people have you met that are as black as those images?

To even it out, so you don't accuse me of racism, again!, how many white people do you know that are actually white?
They cant win really, If they use all white/black/asian its racist, if they use a mixture of ethnicities they are accused of being Pc
Casper
ghostbusters
scooby-Doo
The Funky Phantom

I can't remember seeing a black ghost in any of these programs.

Why do we never see any black ghosts, and does it need addressing?

No because that is simply what they are, silhouettes.

/// Instead of black, white, brown, yellow characters, just one is needed to represent the diverse range of peoples on this planet. ///

If that was the case why do advertisers choose to have mainly black and white models and even black and white cartoon characters showing off their products, so as to represent the people of a majority white country?
