I am having fun with the newly distributed Pendleside Hospice Dingbats but am tearing my hair out in particular at nos. 18, 24, 40, 46 and 48. ANY pointers or clues would be gratefully received.
18. Harold Shipman with the letters ALIA taken out and contained in a black edged oval shape below the name. 24. a-g with e. underlined. All have the letters Ga7 and Miss Toynbee after the list. 43. Colt Python in black letters above a line of 16 number 4s. 46. French South-Jean Fabric-Treaty on three lines and no. 48. the letter C above the word GO.
SO sorry Scorpio Jo I have misled you! The Colt Python over the fours is question 40 and I have a different answer to you for number 43 - though probably I'm wrong, not you. Thank you though.
I'm still grateful for your helpful response. As my name implies I am often stuck and barking up the wrong tree. These brain-boxes who want folk to spend the next days and weeks pondering on likely answers don't understand. It took me AGES to reactivate this account and find out how to send questions and read replies!
Shouldn't have said anything in the first place! I very nearly chucked THIS quiz in the bin as I did years ago when I first started buying them. It's easier to just shove £1 in the Hospice collecting box than have to defend one's ineptitude.
Thank you but I've been round every murdering and death and doctor I can find in films but can't link it to the missing letters of his name in the circle. I'm also not sure I approve of him even getting a mention in a quiz - though I'm probably just being as pedantic as other folk!
