Hello all,
Sorry it is so late.
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
I hope you are enjoying the gorgeous weather and getting out there.
Seasonal goodies for July include cherries, cucumber, apricots and loads of other yummy fruits and veggies.

Many of these can be eaten by themselves as a tasty snack or you can mix them up as a salad.
Here is a yummy looking tabbouleh salad:

Or how about runner beans and bacon:

Hmmmmm i wrote a longish epistle this morning but can see it didn't come through. Never mind. Have you tried salting sliced cucumber for 1/2hour to get rid of the water and then mixing it with sliced radishes, lo fat sour cream and dill....lovely with baked salmon or sliced ham.
Good on you with your loss Wendilla. Salads are good and the cocktail tomatoes now available are super. My mum used to slice large tomatoes and sprinkle them with mint sauce for a lunch salad.

Hello all,
I've been in hospital again with pneumonia and today has been taken up with getting back to the rehab center which will only be until Sat. And then it's home and a start of a new life and new routine with more training here but in a non live in basis.
Hope I can balance in our scales long enough for a reading next Wednesday!

Good grief....just raided the sale, three pairs of trousers being way to large and getting that scrunched up look under the buckle. I then came back and measured my old 40s and they fit with relative ease, suggesting a 41 waist, down from 46 since Feb. Time to look up local tailors and get quotes on the alterations of the others - I've four pairs of 42s and they are fine for the moment, more than enough slack around the middle. Weight loss is 2 stone 8 but been static this past two weeks, time for another decrease me thinks, but it now goes down in steps of a kilo, I have noticed,
