I suppose if the pipes were allowed, the English would have their big drum pounding away all the time. At least a tune can be played on pipes rather than the same rhythm on a big drum.

Because they are vile, the work of the devil. They should be banned everywhere. I have the same attitude to bagpipes as you have to cigarettes. They inflict their foul noise on other people.

Yet the hakka has to be allowed, why no Morris dancing or whatever is traditional in other countries? Remember those awful pipes in South Africa in the World Cup?

I agree zebo, if the English team were allowed morris dancing just before the match started they could have slipped in a couple of try's while the welsh team were still laughing.

You can't bring bagpipes into the actual stadium without either deafening someone or obstructing their view. So quite sensible, if a pity.
I used to wonder why selfie sticks were banned: until I actually saw one and wondered no more. Instead, I have seen a few human "selfie sticks" at the games I've been to: in other words: tap the person in front of you politely on the shoulder and ask him/her to take a picture of you. Works a treat!

If you happen to have managed to get the cheapest seat at the recent South Africa v Japan game played at Brighton .. £180.
The last thing you would want is some ballon head with a big hat sitting in front of you ... as 'part of the experience'.

The tickets have been a bit pricey but anyone who paid that sort of money for the cheapest seat can't have got it from an official source
