An insect is stuck at a bottom of a hole 20 foot deep. Every day, it manages to climb 2 feet but every night it falls back 1 foot how many days does it take him to get to the top of the hole and thus escape?

I make it 20 can someone confirm please

after 38 days has gone up 76 and down 37 so is on 39.
Then falls down 1 foot at night so is on 38.
Next day it goes from 38 to 40
So I'd say 39

I make it that after 18 days & nights it has climbed 18 feet so on the 19th day it climbs 2feet thus escaping after 19days.
