Disappearing apples

What has happened to one of my favourite varieties of Apples - Dunns Seedlings? I haven't seen any in the shops for years. I think they were grown mainly in South Africa. Has the Common Market forced them out?

Dunn's Seedlings don't have the red & shiny look which catches the eye of shoppers who don't understand that the best tasting apples aren't necessarily the best looking apples.
They've definitely not been forced out by the EU. They still appear on the official list of recognised varieties:
