security on aircraft
after sept 11th 2001 there was talk of changes being made to aircraft security i.e. air marshalls, cockpit sealed off from rest of the plane or cockpit door locked during flight etc - have any of these ideas been implemented ??

Procedures for entry into cockpits by the cabin crew are also mandantory. Air Marshals have been used for some time prior to 9/11 but the ranks have been increased dramatically and are in place on more flights.
A voluntary program of arming pilots is in place. The individual airline has the opportunity to participate and each crewmember has the right to participate or decline. If they participate, they complete a rigorous training program as well as extensive background checks. Numerous pilots I know do participate. Other safeguards are being introduced as well...
