Parents...what Would You Do If Your Child...

A - threw marbles in someone's face who was playing with them. Would you tell them off? Or say nothing at all to your child?
B - was sitting at the dinner table and was crying for food on the guests plate? Would you remove the food from the guests plate and let your child eat it to stop them being upset?
Not sure what's normal as I'm not a parent.

B Tell them to stop crying (I am presuming they had finished their own meal?) and if they continued remove them from the table and explain why.

I don't think you need to be a parent to decide what is normal. You were brought up by parents, that gives you an example; plus no one gets a degree course in parenting before getting the job.
Not a parent but:
a) Tell them in a stern voice that, that was naughty and daddy was not pleased, and never wants them to do that ever again.
b) Tell the child that they have their own food and it was naughty to be making a fuss trying to get someone else's and it must stop.
Of course it also depends on whether this was a first offence or the umpteenth offence.

You bring your child up properly in the first place so as not to be faced with these problems!! Simple really, mine wouldn't have done such things because they knew better. To add to this tale of woe and the parenting today...in an A n E situation waiting to be seen by medical staff, a mother and young daughter came in to take a seat. The mother said to the daughter...the only seats are the child's one there where you can sit and I will sit in this one. The child said she wasn't going to sit in the child's seat, so the mother sat there and the child sat on the 'adult' seat!! Hmmm yea right, in my day you did as you were told.
A) if it's the first time,I'd remove the child and explain that throwing things at others faces was wrong and could hurt them. If it's happened before,I'd remove the child from the situation.
B) if the child had finished their own food,I'd offer them a bit more. If not, and the child was just being naughty,I'd not allow my guest to offer them any...that would just encourage the bad behaviour.
