I can't find a more suitable section for my question.Ever so often I visit Basildon to do some shopping, but nearly every time there seems to be a very strong wind blowing through the Town Square. Is this just normal for the area or does the layout of the Town cause this to happen?

the original pedestrian precinct in Southampton is the same. The road runs from the waterfront to the centre of town and is always chilly and windy
Can't help with Basildon, but Harrogate is always blowing a gale!
