Are Quizzers Becoming Lazy?

I have noticed that more questions are being asked on quizzes with two, sometimes three, months to run.
Are people becoming lazy and letting others do the work?, or is it a case of I must finish it NOW because my life is so busy!
The prizes are hardly life-changing so I doubt financial reasons are the cause.
I am just curious to have an insight into this, so please hold back on the abuse if possible.

Davemano, the vast majority of charity quizzes I do, say answer as many questions as you can. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a charity quiz where it says you must answer every question.
angie55 - yes I accept your point and I wasn't saying different. I was simply offering a reason why some posters may wish to complete the quiz
But in my opinion it’s a very poor reason.
Maybe others don't think so and that's why they ask. Whilst some quizzes my ask you to answer as many as you can, it is quite usual an here to have 'Setter requests clues only, No asking before certain date etc'. However, each to his own.
Can I ask why I am being singled out for adverse comments.
chorley - what adverse comment. If you were referring to my post, it was certainly not adverse comment, but giving possible reasons for questions being asked.
These threads never run well, I think the main crux is that not all quizzers approach the hobby of quizzing in the same way.

Such is life.
I must admit, I don`t understand why some quizzers ask such a lot of questions, especially when the end date is months away. Surely the fun of quizzes is to try and work them out yourself first and then ask for help if you still need it nearer the time you have to send them in. It keeps one`s brain active!
No they don't Mamya but why should people not express what they feel about about things on this site. I have been a member of AB for 9 years a lot of the people who were on here then are no longer on here. I am very disappointed when someone starts a thread about asking and never expresses their feelings on the subject and it just turns into a slanging match.
Yes, we've both been members here for around the same time - 10 years for me.

I love the site and all the various topics and diverse queries, of course some things sadden me and I try to placate.

Though often it backfires on me, usually quiz related - it did today.

Just have to muddle along.

I only asked why questions are asked so early and many have missed the point.
Perhaps they don't read the quizsetter's instructions either.
Interesting that those people who do it haven't commented
A lot of posters visit the site to ask something or comment on an item, then go away - not everyone hangs around.

I am not in the least surprised who answered and who didn't.
I haven’t read all the posts but it’s not up to anyone here to decide when questions may or may not be asked – and those posts that simply direct questioners to other sites are detrimental to the AnswerBank so should be removed. This is a question and answer site so if you don’t want to see answers, don’t click on the thread. It’s not difficult to mind your own business and allow other people to complete their quizzes in their own way. I do.

If you don't want to know, look the other way.
That attitude in the past is coming back to haunt a lot of people.

I KNOW it's a question and answer site. I've had that shouted at me many times.
But why do you need to ask early on quizzes that aren't won on a "first past the post" basis?
I ask for help occasionally when I am an answer or two short as I do like to finish a quiz ( though I have sent some back incomplete) but I love to have a go myself and get a sense of achievement when I work out answers for myself. Sometimes I go to bed still thinking about a quiz and have even been known to have a eureka moment in the middle of the night! Thinking of an elusive answer, that is.
I can't sleep if an answer is 'on the tip of my tongue'. Maybe others get obsessive, too, and just HAVE to know.
QuizmasterG, //But why do you need to ask early on quizzes that aren't won on a "first past the post" basis? //

If they're not won on a first past the post basis why do you care? It makes no difference to you. If you don't want to answer questions or see answers, fine - stay away from the threads you don't want to see.
Anyone else have a pen and paper on the bedside table?

Handy when you dream the answer and wake up suddenly.:-)
