I'm not asking for answers just clarification

Instructions say
'Please put answers in order to fit clue (except where clues are in italics) Answers in sections (letter count)

I understand the letter count part but I don't understand 'put answers in order to fit clue (except where clues are in italics)'

The letter count increases with each section but 3 of the italic questions are in the first section and 1 second section and 1 in the third section

Am I missing something

I found that hard to grasp too until I got to

54 - Both are ......

So unlike the other clues which in effect are in two halves.

Sorry mamyalynne bit slow on the uptake - still don't understand is it just one word thats needed or is the letter count different from the rest of the section

Letter count for each of two words remains the same as the section

eg

53 the two words are totally unconnected to each other

54 The two words are connected when used in a saying


So the italic clues appear to be whole clues and not clues of two unrelated parts

Now here is a question. On my copy of quiz which was sent by email, all questions are in Bold no italics whatsoever and no letter count.
Could someone please confirm which questions should be in italics, if not I will email compiler. Has anyone else encountered this problem as I would not have been aware of this had I not seen this question. I think I will have to email her anyway.

As I am partially sighted I had to get help to find these, so hope they are right.

They all look much the same to me.

Section 1 answers are five letters, then each section increases by a letter.

Q57 is voided

They are the right ones for the italics but it didnt give you the letter count it just said in sections

Thank you Mamy and smouse. Had to go to vets ealier and only just had chance to get back. Having looked at my quiz, all questions are in capital letters and all are bold. There is a line under Question 56, another line under 88 and another line under 98 so should there be a letter count for each question as well as italics for the ones Mamy mentioned.

Just opened the original attachment from the email and the quiz does show italics, however when I opened my filed version it doesn't. How can that be. Anyway hopefully with your previous help I may now be able to follow the quiz, thanks to all and the original posting by granny grump.
