What was that museum called?? I remember, the Showboat. I loved the Treewalk and that miniature train. I used to live very close to the park, was born about 15 mins walk away and then we moved and it was at the end of our road. I used to spend sunday mornings there feeding the birds.

I only went that once, but later on (1966) my sister lived in Southfields so then I was there a lot, near the Tennis Courts I believe. Last time I went there a good few years ago the main shoppiong street was awful, all scruffy.

no, I don't recollect having probs with him, Lottie... in fact I don't think I've had much trouble personally with anyone... but as I recall he could be nasty to others. Neti you were in my dream last night...or was it a nightmare? :o)
I dreamt I went to live in my last house (heaven forbid) and as there weren't many shops there I asked you to send me something - no idea what it was. Anyway you sent it along with a handful of receipts for your own shopping (tut, do you really buy those?) and some green vegetables, including two brussels sprouts! I was very touched & thought it was very sweet of you, hahahahaha. I was so relieved when I woke up, I often dream I go to live back there and it isn't because I'd want to.

Hope you + husbands are doing well today...I've no idea what you've all been chatting about so I'll just sit here & listen and stuff socks down me bra or sommink....

That child has an amazing voice Neti ,I loved it ,it's surprising the hidden talent there is . Alas I do not have any talents that I know of ( the music teacher ,when I was in Primary school ,said I sounded like a frog !) Has anyone heard that saying "Those that can do and those that can't teach" well that's me I'm very good at teaching all sorts of things !
I hope Mr.S .keeps up his good progress and hope you are OK too Shaney. Mr.D. was treated for Prostate Cancer nearly 10 years ago and he's still here and doing well ,Specialist very pleased with him ,another check-up in 12 months time.
Weighed myself today and went into shock . I resemble a very round apple !I swear it's all the steroids I'm on plus one of them makes me keep eating (I'll send you the name if you like Robi then you won't need socks in your bra )

Good morning. I've just done a Woofy. Went to bed late, got up really early and went back to bed at about 9.00am. I woke up about half an hour ago, after having some really anxious type dreams, mostly based around driving down country lanes with my son (who was about 12 in my dreams) and his partner who was at her current age. Remember something about being stuck in a flooded sugarbeet field and just lifting the back of the car to tip all the muddy water out. Weird.

Woof. Mum was born in Battersea, I was born in Wimbledon. Left Wimbledon in 1962 for Bedfordshire at the age of just 15. Spent ten years of my most wild young life based in Bedfordshire, then married and moved to Hertfordshire for 7 years and then fled to the wilds of North Norfolk in 1979. I remember fountains in the Pleasure Gardens, and the train but not the museum. I loved that tree walk - thought it was so exciting!!

Well they've got 25 mins. I've been waiting in for Virgin Media aka Ntl to come and sort the cable out on the pavement but no sign as yet. I'm not. I'm off out after then so they'll have to come another day.
Hi Dolly I love Ginger snaps but can't have them cos of me diet but I have found Nairns Stem Ginger Oat biscuits very low in sugar. So I have them on occasion.
I sent that little bit of film about Battersea Big Dipper to my sister and she remembers it too, she said she has never been on one since. Not like me at all!!
I have some wierd dreams Lottlie. I remember them when I wake up but I would have to write them down straight away to be able to describe them to someone later on.
I'm pleased you sound better about Mr S. Shaney now you know something is being done.

Have you had your knee looked at yet Neti. How's it doing?

Hi all
Dreary rainy day here . Don't buy those Belvita Breakfast Biscuits they're advertisng heavily at the moment .They are foul and taste like glorified Farleys Rusks .I only thought I'd try them as they were on specal offer .If they think a packet of four tiny biccies is enough to keep a growing girl like me going for breakfast ,they can think again :)
What a lovely voice that little girl has Neti .
That lump sounds to me like a bursa Similar to the thing I had on my elbow .They can draw the fluid off with a needle you know :)
I remember going to Battersea park years ago when we lived in London for some childrens festival of some sort .I think it was a sort of giant play day thing in the school holidays .

My Mum was a Battersea girl too and her Mum before her we lived in Battersea Square by the church then moved up to Parkgate Road. It has Battersea Bridge at one end and Albert Bridge at the other. I moved away when we married (OH is a Chelsea boy). We are neither of us city folk and he was in the merchant navy. I travelled with him so we could live where we liked and chose Somerset, Wells actually. It was a lovely place to live then but has gone downhill since.
