We run a charity cafe for the disabled in our community When we are allowed back to work we were thinking of selling newspapers as the nearest newsagent is 1 mile away so when our customers are in doing there crafts there carers and locals can purchase a paper.
Where do we go to get newspapers to sell? And are they on sale or return. It is many years ago I worked in my parents newsagent .
Thank you.
I haven't dealt with daily papers for many years, but they always used to be on sale or return. Magazines (if you were considering them) were often on sale only.
I'm sure there is a local wholesaler to you. It shouldn't be difficult to find out.
The corner shop sells newspapers but they have had to join with other similar shops for a delivery to be made as none of the shops sell enough on their own. The shop who receives the delivery then delivers them to the others.
Local newspapers (where they still exist) are often delivered directly from the publishers to newsagents. (So contact your local rag to see what service they offer).
The majority of titles still seem to be sent out on sale or return (base upon the way that I've seen many retailers carefully counting and bundling unsold papers at the end of the day)
